How can you prevent your pétanque boules from going rusty

Your pétanque boules are much more than just playing equipment.

They are your faithful friends on the pitch, and they will be with you throughout your life as a pétanque player.

Take a few precautions and maintain them regularly.

Obut says keep them dry! Your MATCH, SOLEIL, ATX, CX COU, RCC, TON'R pétanque boules ...: shot or pointed, but never thrown sharply down!

First tip: store your pétanque boules indoors, in a dry place. By sparing them long stays in the boot of your car, you can avoid sudden changes in temperature which create condensation and encourage your pétanque boules to go rusty.

Obut takes care! Second tip: even if they are stored in ideal conditions, you need to take care of your boules, especially if you don't use them very often.

Start by cleaning them with soapy water. Dry them.

Apply a lightly oiled cloth or use the OBUT care product once a month, for stainless steel or carbon steel pétanque boules. This ready-to-use spray leaves a protective film that preserves the condition of the metal and its shine perfectly.

Wipe your boules with the OBUT cloth provided or a clean cloth.

In case of damage caused by the ground, rub lightly with sandpaper.
